yesterday and today we went to Dre and Mre to requet new student to our team. and the 4 other bedford ftc robotics teams.
This weekend we went to the michigan state championship in battle creek and we did so well that we made our way to super regional's in march. we also got a meddle for division finalist.
We were one of the 6 FTC teams to make it to states out of the 6 teams that qualified to go to states 2 other bedford teams made it to states with us. (f.l.a.g.(fight like a girl) (bionic broncos)
#weregoingtostates This past weekend we competed in the Bedford qualifier. We worked on the robot for almost the whole day trying to improve it. We have a lot more work to do but we advanced to states and we have one more week to make progress.
Congratulations to All of the Bedford FTC teams for representing Bedford well. Special congrats to The Bionic Broncos and the Loose Screws for also advancing to states. #BEDFORDPROUD #STAYCLASSY We would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors. Without you we couldn't have made it this far. Thank you to GERDAU, Sylvania Orthodontics, (Drs. Simon/Haerian/Ludwig), Oldcastle Building Envelope, Toledo Elevator, K&W Grinding, JDRM Engineering, CCC ENERGY LLC, Cooper - Smith Advertising and Cousino Trucking. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! We have 4 weeks left before the Bedford qualifier. Hopefully we can finish building the robot before it comes. For build, we are working on the ball carrier and the pull-up mechanism. We discussed ideas for the promote video. Hopefully we will have that video uploaded and ready to view soon. For programming today we also just tried (still) to work the program to program the robot. We have made progress and are excited to get the sensors on the robot.
Last Thursday we were able to tour the U.T.M.C. (University of Toledo Medical Center) Health Science Campus Inter-Professional Immersive Simulation Center. We got to see a 3-D program created by U.T. that allows you to see all the layers on the human body, nerves, veins, etc. We got to see A robotic dummy to practice patient care on. We met Larry (The robotic dummy's name) who we could help and interact with. We got to practice robotic surgery with tools and we tried moving triangles to a certain place while looking at a small screen to do it. P.S. Congratulations to the ''Bionic Broncos'' on advancing to the state this past weekend at the Canton qualifier! :D -Jace So for marketing we continued to create buttons to give out at the competition. We still don't have a full bucket but we are close.
For programming we just worked out some bugs with the new software we have. Build continued trying to put the wheels on the base.We finished the ball carrier so now we just need to finish the lift! -The Classical Engineers For this week the programming team worked to perfect some sensors. The build team did a lot of things including worked on finishing the frame for the debris holder/sweeper and shortened beater bars.
On Wednesday, we went to the University Of Toledo College of Engineering. We learned that there are different types of engineers. We saw labs for civil engineers, chemical engineers, and mechanical engineers. Thank you University of Toledo College of Engineering and thank you to Mr. Pawlecki for taking the time to guide us on the tour! It was a great learning experience. |
